How to Sign a Vehicle Title in Oregon
Before filling out any information on the title, carefully read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines, and review any instructions on the title.
Turn to the back of your Oregon car title and look near the middle.
In the small box that says "Date of sale," enter the date the vehicle was sold. Immediately under that, enter the vehicle's current mileage.
Look to the right of those boxes. Where it says "Buyer's printed name," the buyer should print their name. Note that if two people are buying the car, both of them will need to fit their names on that line. Immediately under that, the buyer should print their full address.
There are three lines where any vehicle owners can print their name, then sign their name. All owners should fill in their information in the appropriate boxes.
If the seller's current address is different than the address listed on the title, the seller must fill in their new address where it says "Seller's address (if different than on front of title)."
On the next line, the buyer(s) should print their name(s). Immediately to the right, the buyer(s) should sign their name(s).
