How to Sign a Vehicle Title in Oklahoma: Step-by-Step Guide

Before filling out any information on the title, carefully read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines, and review any instructions on the title.

Note that Oklahoma titles must be notarized. This can be done at one of over 300 authorized tag agent offices throughout the state. Don't fill out the title until you get to the office, and bring photo identification with you. If you don't, the notary will not be able to notarize your signature.

Look for the words "Assignment of title by registered owner" on the front of your Oklahoma car title. Fill in the following information under that.

Where it says "Purchaser's name," the buyer(s) should print their name(s). Note that if two people are purchasing the vehicle, both people's names must fit on the same line.

On the next line, the buyer should write in their full street address.

On the next line, write in the purchase price of the vehicle.

Look for a set of five small boxes on the left side of the page. This is where the seller should write in the current odometer reading.

Where it says "Signature(s) of seller(s)," the seller(s) should sign their name(s). Again, if two people are selling the car, both of them must fit their signatures on the same line. Immediately to the right of that, the seller(s) should print their name(s).

Skip the notary section. Near the bottom the title is a line that says "Signature(s) of buyer(s)." This where the buyer(s) should sign their name(s). Immediately to the right of that, the buyer(s) should print their name(s).
