How to Sign a Vehicle Title in Ohio: Step-by-Step Guide
Before filling out any information on the title, carefully read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines, and review any instructions on the title.
Turn to the back of your Ohio title and look near the top.
On the first line, print the buyer's name.
On the next line, print the buyer's full address.
In the odometer reading section, enter the vehicle's current mileage in the small boxes near the right side of the page.
In the next section, where it says "Transferor's/Seller's printed name," the seller(s) should print their name(s). Note that if two people are selling the vehicle, both of them need to fit their names on that line. On the line to the right, the seller(s) should sign their name(s).
On the next line, the seller should write down their full address.
In the next section, where it says "Transferee's/Buyer's printed name," the buyer(s) should print their name(s). Note that if two people are buying the vehicle, both of them need to fit their names on that line. On the line to the right, the buyer(s) should sign their name(s).
