How to Sign a Vehicle Title in Nevada: Step-by-Step Guide

Before filling out any information on the title, carefully read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines, and review any instructions on the title.

Note that Nevada has changed the layout of their titles several times, so if your vehicle hasn't changed hands in a long time, your title may look different than the one described here.

Look for the following information near the bottom of the front of your Nevada car title.

Where it says "Printed full legal name of buyer," print the buyer's name. Next to that, print the buyer's Nevada driver's license or identification card number.

If a second person's name will appear on the title, print their full name and driver's license/identification number on the next line.

Write the buyer's full address (street address, city, state and zip code) in the appropriate places on the next line.

On the short line underneath, write the vehicle's current mileage.

On the next line, the seller(s) should sign their name(s). Note that if two people own the vehicle, both people must fit their signatures on this line. On the line immediately next to this one, the seller(s) should print their name(s).

Look for the line on the right side of the page that says "Driver's license number." One seller should print their driver's license number here. On the line next to it, write in the date the vehicle was sold.

Look for the line that says "Signature of buyer." The buyer(s) should sign their name(s) here. On the line immediately next to this one, the buyer(s) should print their name(s).
