How to Sign a Vehicle Title in Nebraska: Step-by-Step Guide

Before filling out any information on the title, carefully read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines, and review any instructions on the title.

Look for the following information on the front of your Nebraska title. Note that the information is divided into two columns: information about the seller, and information about the buyer.

On the line that says "Odometer reading," enter the vehicle's current mileage.

There are three lines that say "Signature of seller." Everyone whose name is on the title must sign on one of these lines.

On the line that says "Printed name of seller," one of the vehicle's owners must print their name.

On the next line, enter the date the vehicle was sold.

In the right-hand column, print the name of the buyer where it says "Name of purchaser(s)." Note that if more than one person is buying the car, all of their names must fit on this line.

On the next line, enter the buyer's full address (street address, city, state and zip code) in the appropriate places.

On the next blank line, one buyer should sign their name.

On the next line, one buyer should print their name.
